About
A workshop at DBT-BIF, Translational Bioinformatics Group, ICGEB, to provide theoretical and practical training for bioinformatics aided analysis of publicly available genome and proteome data.
The main workshop learning objectives include:
- Basic orientation for bioinformatics and Linux for the workshop.
- Data formatting, retrieval and analysis for genomic and proteomics data.
- Analysis of data from High-throughput technologies.
- One full day session on NGS analysis using SanGeniX (A software developed by Persistent Systems by financial support from BIRAC).
Requirements
There is no participation fee and selections will be made on the basis of application and CV. It is desirable that selected participants have basic knowledge of computer operation and can bring laptop for the workshop. ICGEB Guest house accommodation will be provided to outstation candidates, on payment basis and only if available.
