The database contains a total of 6747645 SSRs mined in genomic sequences of 7 millet species (Figure 1)

Hexa-nucleotide repeats are the most abundant, followed by tri-nucleotide, tetra-nucleotide, di-nucleotide, mono-nucleotide, and penta-nucleotide repeats. Moreover, compound and overlapping compound SSRs were also detected (Figure 2)

A total of 4674560 SSRs are located in genic regions, while non-genic regions contain about 2049612 of SSRs. The genic-non-genic region has the lowest proportion of SSRs, constituting only 23473. It's worth noting that this low proportion may not be clearly visible on the Figure 3.
